Jackie is back from Maternity Leave! Mixed Motion is an established dance company, based in Hampshire and West Berkshire. Classes range from Tiny Ballet (3 years plus) to Adult Street Dance and Adult Tap, as well as classes in Street Dance, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary for students aged 5-18 years. The company, which was founded in 2012, was set up by professional performer and choreographer, Jackie Cullen. Jackie has choreographed and taught for over 13 years in the UK and Internationally, and having moved to the UK a few years ago, noticed a gap in the market for teachers with professional performance and teaching experience.

The classes for Adults are a fantastic way to keep fit and also to meet and make new friends in a very relaxed atmosphere. Adults in classes currently running have a great bond with each other, and exercise has become a fun, stress release for them after a hard week at work!
Jackie trained in South Africa in Contemporary, Jazz, Acrobatics and Tap dance with the well-established company, 'Durban Dance Unlimited.' She also trained in ballet under Winsome Fuller as well as Glynis van Blerk of the Royal Academy of Dance.

Her performances have included various filming projects, arts festivals and appearances at the 'Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre' as well as the Opera at the 'Playhouse Theatre' in South Africa. Jackie was a regular performer in some of South Africa's most prestigious Casinos and Theatre venues. She has performed for many companies, including 'Roots and Wings', 'Magic Moments Promotions' and 'Twisted Elegance.' She performed in Princess Diana's 'Night of 100 stars' 3 years running, and danced in a troupe sponsored by Adidas for Funk and Street Dance. Jackie has also been a trained fire performer, performing an act mainly with a hula-hoop of fire for various promotional events.

Jackie was a regular dancer at the International Conference Centre in South Africa, supporting AIDS awareness conferences hosted by the former president, Nelson Mandela, as well as for various other corporate functions.

She has choreographed in the UK for performances at 'Her Majesty's Theatre' on the West End, various professional Musical Theatre Colleges, Corporate Productions and events and Theatre Musicals. In 2006, she was an assistant instructor for the Guinness World Book of records, recording the largest dance class to ever take place at one time.
She currently teaches Jazz and Contemporary dance for a full-time Professional Musical Theatre College. Jackie has assisted local councils in Berkshire and West Berkshire with their Sport and Culture programmes, delivering Street Dance to over 33 schools in the Berkshire area, with a focus on delivering a full-scale production at the end of each 8 week programme. Jackie has also choreographed Tesco's annual charity fashion show since 2009, including dance as a highlight. In 2011, Jackie was asked to teach an Advanced class at Move-It Dance exhibition at Kensington Olympia in London, the UK's biggest annual dance event, and held a Commercial Jazz class for over 250 students in one of the main studios.

Jackie is trained to work with Special Needs, and has run programmes at Brookfields School as well as The Avenue.
She has also run various local council programmes, working predominantly with groups of children with Autism and Asberger's and adult's with severe disability, working with carer's to improve movement and ability. She is a qualified UKCA as well as IDTA teacher, with Full Membership to the International Dance Teacher's Association.
